With a footprint growth rate of 33% within the last 3 month WeRoam continues its impressive network expansion. Having a worldwide offering of over 40’000 aggregated hotspots, WeRoam consolidates its position as one of the leading global WLAN roaming providers.
The WeRoam footprint now includes 358 airport hotspots, 6522 restaurant locations, 6877 hotel access points and 3’392 business venues. Service providers are also showing more attention to our 10’936 public space hotspots due to their growing importance for leisure and consumer usage.
As a provider of business wholesale services, WeRoam’s focus extends beyond pure hotspot aggregation, including essential areas such as service quality assurance, provision of 3rd party testing environments and enabling products simplifying WLAN roaming market launches for service providers and mobile operators.

Golden Telecom Russia joins WeRoam |

WeRoam signs the leading provider of integrated telecommunications and Internet services in the largest population areas throughout Russia and other countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS).
Golden Telecom is Russia´s largest independent fixed-line and wireless operator providing more than 10'000 WLAN HotSpots in Moskau and St. Petersburg. WeRoam will cover the complete footprint to achieve the best ubiquitous wireless broadband city clouds for its customers in that booming region. Golden Telecom recently signed an agreement with McDonalds to provide the chain of 175 Russian McDonald's restaurants with WiFi services.

WeRoam simplifies browser based WLAN access |

WeRoam is deploying with success the Web Access Portal (WAP) interface on its roaming partners. WAP offers a centrally hosted service provider branded login page that enhances the user experience when accessing public WLAN with a Web browser. Thanks to WAP connecting at a foreign hotspot is exactly the same as in the home network.
To date, 11 roaming partners of WeRoam are live with this solution. Many hotspot operators that have implemented the WAP interface have seen a significant increase of the WLAN usage on their network.

Smartnet now also operates hotspots in Italy |

The leading provider of wireless Internet in Israel, Smartnet now also offers access at the Italian luxury five star hotels the Regency hotel in Florence and the Lord Byron hotel in Rome.
